Project 5
With this project, project 5, i had a little trouble saving so i actually did the project 3 times. which was kind of frustrating. I finally did it a third time and saved it correctly. so that is why it is so late. But with this project, we had to use vocodex which changes the pitch of your sound. Alsowe had to make a loop with it, whichi added standard drums, a turntable and a bass to even it all out. i am happy with my work but dissapointed i had to do it three time. well i hope you all enjoy!

Bummer on having to do this project so many times because of data loss.
ReplyDeleteI get the vocal processing. You have a good handle on how to slice up a clip of audio and run it through the vocoder- which is what this project was all about.
What I'm missing is the loop that goes behind the vocals. It sounds like a collection of almost random sounds and drum beats, and it never really locks into a groove with a bass line and all the rest. I hear a lot of snare drum and a long sustained single note. If that one note was lower in pitch, it would round out the bottom of this piece (which is lacking in bottom) or if it was a chord, it would add more color to the mix which is dominated by snare drum.
